Our Story

I grew up as a young Trinidadian girl in a warm, middle class home, raised by my grandparents. Some of my earliest and most cherished memories are of my grandmother in the kitchen her hands moving with love and precision as she cooked and baked. The smell of fresh bread, sweet pastries, and home cooked meals filled the house, and without even realizing it at the time, that’s where my passion for cooking and baking was born.

At the age of 11, my life took a big turn when I moved to America to live with my mom, who was raising me on her own. Adjusting to a new country, new schools, and a different way of life wasn’t always easy, but it helped shape me into who I am today. I learned resilience early how to adapt, how to push forward, and how to find my place even when things felt unfamiliar.

As I grew into adulthood, I worked a variety of jobs, eventually spending nine years working in a hospital. During that time, I also became a mother to two beautiful boys who mean everything to me. Life wasn’t always easy there were challenges, long days, and moments of doubt but I kept going. I had to.

Through all of it, something inside me kept reminding me that I was meant for more. I realized that working for someone else wasn’t the path I truly wanted for my life. I wanted freedom, purpose, and the chance to build something of my own something rooted in passion, just like the love I saw in my grandmother’s kitchen.

Now, I’m stepping into a new chapter. I’ve found not only my calling but also a partner who believes in the same vision someone to collaborate with as I turn my passion into something real. This journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. And now, I’m ready to create something of my own,
from the soul, and for the future.
