Fees and Funding<\/h2>\n

At Zig Zag Day Nursery Peterborough, we aim to offer flexible childcare options so families can choose sessions that suit their routine, work patterns and funding eligibility.<\/p>\n

Our nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7:00am\u20136:00pm<\/strong>, and we offer both full-year places<\/strong>\u00a0and term-time only places<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sessions are charged at \u00a37 per hour<\/strong>, giving families flexibility to build a schedule that works for them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

FUNDED CHILDCARE PLACES<\/h2>\n

We offer funded nursery places for all eligible children from 9 months up to school age<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This includes:<\/p>\n

  • Funded places for eligible children from 9 months old<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Funded hours for 2-year-olds from low-income families<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Universal funded hours for all 3- and 4-year-olds<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Extended funded hours (up to 30 hours) for eligible working families<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Funding can usually be used across a mix of sessions, subject to availability.<\/p>\n

    We offer discounts for families booking full-day childcare:<\/p>\n

    • 10% discount<\/strong>\u00a0on full-day non-funded bookings<\/li>\n
    • 15% discount<\/strong>\u00a0for full-week full-day bookings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Children attending full-day sessions also receive free breakfast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      Meals at Zig Zag Day Nursery Peterborough are optional.
      \nParents can choose nursery meals or provide a packed lunch if preferred.<\/p>\n

        All nursery meals are freshly prepared and designed to support children\u2019s nutrition, energy levels and healthy eating habits.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

        ADDITIONAL WEEKLY SERVICE CHARGE<\/span><\/h2>\n

        To help us provide a well-resourced environment and enriching daily experiences for children, we charge a small \u00a35 weekly service charge.<\/span><\/p>\n

        This contribution helps cover everyday consumables and additional learning opportunities that are used across the nursery.<\/span><\/p>\n

        What the service charge includes<\/span><\/p>\n

        Snacks Consumables<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

        This supports the cost of items used throughout the week, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

        • Daily snacks provided to children<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Ingredients used for baking and cooking activities<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Food preparation items used during learning experiences<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Disposable food-related items used for hygiene and safety<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          These activities support children\u2019s independence, social skills and understanding of food while also contributing to their learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Hygiene & Care Consumables<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

          This helps cover essential items used to maintain children\u2019s comfort, hygiene and wellbeing, such as:<\/span><\/p>\n

          • Wipes and tissues<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Barrier creams and care products where needed<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Gloves and hygiene supplies<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Suncream used during warmer months<\/span><\/li>\n
          • General nursery care items<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Providing these items centrally ensures children\u2019s needs are met consistently throughout the day.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

            Learning Resources & Enrichment Activities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

            This contribution also supports additional experiences that enhance the nursery environment, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

            • Extra craft and messy play materials<\/span><\/li>\n
            • Themed learning resources linked to children\u2019s interests<\/span><\/li>\n
            • Celebrations and seasonal events<\/span><\/li>\n
            • Occasional educational visitors or enrichment experiences (for example animal visits, workshops or themed activity days)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              These opportunities help us offer a rich and engaging learning environment beyond the basic resources required.<\/span><\/p>\n

              We understand that childcare costs can sometimes feel challenging, and we want to ensure that nursery remains accessible for families who need it.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

              If fees, charges or additional costs create financial difficulty or risk becoming a barrier to your child attending nursery our accessing their free entitlement, please speak to us in confidence.<\/span><\/p>\n
